Project Goals
The city of Potsdam is changing. However, the architectural legacies of the East German city of Potsdam are gradually disappearing and with them a piece of the city's eventful history. As part of the InterFlex seminar "Hinter der Fassade", the project "Potsdam erinnert sich" was created. Consisting of a poster campaign, a mobile web application as well as a classic web platform, it aims to keep alive the memory of some places of everyday life in Potsdam that have already disappeared. The intervention carried out on the website is a QR code on posters in its middle. On the website, the user can read out the frequented places and the supposedly forgotten parts of the city from the memories, stories and comments of their virtual visitors. If you take a picture of a poster with the QR code and follow the link, more and more modules in the form of pixels will form a building. In addition to various information, videos, pictures and audio documents about the place visited, the app also offers the possibility to comment on one's own visit and to leave a mosaic (pixel) as a personal form of remembrance.

The project was designed in collaboration with the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam (FHP) and the Potsdam Museum.
Hinter der Fassade
After scanning the posters with a QR code, people can view various content in the form of videos, texts, etc. In addition, people should also upload their own memories. These are then also shown on the website and the building is recreated pixel by pixel in virtual form. Through the memories of the people who upload themselves.
